Le/la chargé(e) de projet interviendra en soutien à l’équipe de l’École française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO) et du consortium international du projet Climate Change Threats to Heritage in Indonesia financé par l’Alliance internationale pour la protection du patrimoine (ALIPH). Il/elle aura pour rôle principal d’accompagner l’équipe scientifique en veillant constamment aux intérêts économiques et juridiques de l’établissement, il/elle interviendra sur les volets contractuels, financiers et administratifs, et sera l’interlocuteur(trice) privilégié(e) de l’EFEO et des partenaires.

The project Hindu Temple Legends in South India, a cooperation between the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the École française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO), is seeking to appoint a Research Software Developer as part of the project team based at the EFEO Centre in Pondicherry, India.

The long-term research project Hindu Temple Legends in South India is dedicated to producing digital editions and English translations of the Sanskrit and Tamil māhātmyas and sthalapurāṇas relating to Kanchipuram. The project brings together two teams based in Heidelberg, Germany, and Pondicherry, India.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of the project’s digital research infrastructure and work closely with scholars and technical staff in an interdisciplinary environment.

The ERC-funded Consolidator Grant project MIRA invites applications for three full-time positions as junior scholars, which will be based at the EFEO, Centre de Pondichéry. The research team will conduct, textual research, manuscript study, and field-based scholarly activities. Successful candidates will be expected to reside and work in Pondicherry. MIRA will be hosted at the University of Hamburg and carried out in close institutional partnership with the EFEO Pondicherry, which will host a research team and provide the main base for philological work, manuscript research, and so forth.
