This version of the EFEO graphic charter manual sets out the fundamentals and guidelines for its application.

The logo of the École française d’Extrême-Orient was designed to incorporate its acronym, which has been widely recognised and used by our partners in Asia for many years. The acronym ‘EFEO’ thus finds its natural place between the graphic representation and the School’s signature.

‘EFEO red’ (burgundy) was introduced in 2000 to mark the School’s centenary. It became the sole complementary colour to grey in 2005.

Important:

Any communication material bearing the EFEO logo and intended for wide distribution must comply with the usage guidelines set out in the graphic charter manual and be approved in advance by the EFEO.
