The EFEO is recruiting a Head of the Archives Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, structuring and leading the new Archives Department, ensuring a coherent overall approach to the preservation, processing, access and promotion of the EFEO’s collections.
They will carry out their tasks at the intersection of administrative, scientific and heritage archives, including photographic collections, working closely with the library and digital services, research teams, centre heads, the resource centre and the institution’s management.
Their work will be consistent with the guidelines set by other Écoles françaises à l’étranger, as well as with public policies falling within their area of responsibility.
The Director of the Archives Department will be responsible for managing and implementing the policy on the archiving, selection, preservation, promotion and provision of access to documents and archival collections produced by the EFEO.
