To mark the completion of the restoration of the Dancing Shiva at Koh Ker, a ceremony was held at the Conservation d’Angkor under the patronage of H.E. Dr Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Led by the EFEO, in close collaboration with the National Authority for Preah Vihear (NAPV), and supported by the International Alliance for Heritage Protection (ALIPH), this ambitious project represents years of work and research to restore the monumental 10th-century statue, which had been toppled and shattered into more than 10,000 fragments.
