The EFEO has learned with great sorrow of the passing of His Majesty King Father Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia on 15 October 2012 in Peking. The School has lost the oldest of its Honorary Members and wishes to convey its deepest sympathy to Her Majesty the Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk and His Majesty King Preah Bronomneath Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia.2012-10-11 Vietnam, Hanoi

On 8 September: opening of the exhibition Archaeological remains of Angkor: work of the French School of East Asian Studies in Taiwan. From 8 September to 14 October in Chiayi; from 17 November to 29 December in Taipei. This exhibition is organized jointly by the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum and the EFEO.
