Workshop on the study of land in China

These workshops stem from the desire to develop bridges between disciplinary fields and those interested in the study of China. In order to do so, the Observatory and the EFEO are pooling their resources together and opening these sessions to an audience of students and professors, professionals and representatives of institutional stakeholders concerned. Our last meeting on 24 May revealed the extent to which urban and rural China are increasingly interdependent. Urban mobility, the development of transport infrastructure, the growth of domestic tourism, the threats of urban sprawl in the area, the seeking for a balance between urban and rural regions, the changes in the lifestyle and living habits are challenged in many conferences in China and generate innovative operational cooperation.
