G. Vijayavenugopal was invited to Paris to participate in the Epigraphy and History of Art Symposium of Southern India, in memory of Professor Noboru Karashima, organized by A. Murugaiyan and E. Parlier-Renault, at the National Institute of art history (INHA, 2, rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris) on October 12 and 13, 2017. On October 13 at 5:30 pm, he gave a presentation entitled "An interesting Medieval Chola inscription about a Śaiva ascetic".
