Festschrift Seminar Honouring Pierre Pichard

Summary:
Since his first contribution in restoring the temple of Phimai in Thailand 50 years ago, Pierre Pichard has continuously played a critical role in the conservation of monumental heritage in Asia. Architect and Director of Research at the French School of Asian Studies (EFEO), he has been a renowned conservation expert regularly called on numerous consultancies for UNESCO and other international organisations in various places in Asia, from India to Bhutan, Vietnam to Cambodia and Laos, Myanmar to Thailand. On the occasion of his 80th birthday and his retirement in France after such a long and productive stay in Asia, it is a great pleasure for the Siam Society to announce an international Festschrift Seminar in honour of Pierre Pichard.
Program:
The lecture will be held at the Siam Society's Auditorium and will start with a small reception at 6.30 pm. The lecture will start at 7:00 p.m. Free of charge.
