The second session of the training cycle "The Archives of the Conservation of Angkor (1908-1975): History, Uses, and Heritage Issues" was organized at the National Museum of Cambodia in Phnom Penh on September 24 and 25, 2020, in partnership with the EFEO.
This training cycle aims to make the ancient scientific documentary collection of the Angkor Conservation Department known to the staff of Cambodian heritage institutions (Angkor Conservation, APSARA National Authority, National Museum of Cambodia, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts) and to facilitate its daily use in different fields of application (museology, architectural restoration, archaeology, etc.).
The second session was specifically devoted to the Angkor Conservation Archive Fund now preserved in the National Museum of Cambodia. It also provided an opportunity to discuss several future projects to be carried out in the framework of inter-institutional collaboration (databases, publications).
