The meeting between the Director of the EFEO, Nicolas Fiévé, and the President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS), Professor Le Van Loi, took place on November 13, at the Academy's headquarter. This exchange opened new avenues for cooperation in the social sciences and humanities between Vietnam and France.
In its 32 years of cooperation in Vietnam, the EFEO has conducted fruitful collaborations with various institutes of the Academy. Both parties are entering a new phase of development, more in-depth and substantial, focused on interdisciplinary research, the preservation of documentary heritage, and the training of young researchers.
