The exhibition Objectif Vietnam/ Góc nhìn Việt Nam đầu thế kỷ 20 is inaugurated in Hanoi at two sites (French Institute - L’Espace; National Museum of Vietnamese History).
Photographs from the EFEO's collection show archaeological sites, buildings (some of which no longer exist), the construction of museums in Đà Nẵng and Hanoi, pagodas in northern Vietnam, as well as the final ceremony offered to heaven, the Nam Giao, performed by the emperor Bảo Đại.
