The scholars and staff of the EFEO met for two days of discussion at the Army Hotel. The meeting was followed by the inauguration at the Museum of Ethnography of an exhibition of drawings by Henri Oger (Technique du peuple Annamite) and the signature of a cooperation agreement between the EFEO and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences for the creation of a museum at the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long. The French Ambassador honoured the EFEO with his presence at the closing dinner, held at the National Museum of Vietnamese History.
