A hilltop fort in Ba  Động commune (Ba Tơ district, Quảng Ngãi province) is excavated by the Institute of Archaeology, led by Nguyễn Tiến Đông. The dig reveals vestiges of a fort that dominated the valley of the Vệ River and was used to control the passage of travellers along the road beside the Long Wall, located a few metres from the fort.
