Dr. H.N. Bhat, Sanskritist, retired on 28th February 2013 after almost 24 years of service at the Pondicherry Centre of the École française d'Extrême-Orient. He joined the EFEO's research team in 1989 and worked on a critical edition of the Anarghavaravapancika which was published in the EFEO-IFP co-series "Collection Indologie" in 2000. He then took up the preparation of a critical edition and translation of the Balaramanayana of Rajasekhara on which he worked until his retirement.
