Suganya Anandakichenin (doctoral student of the EPHE) will give a lecture at the EFEO Centre of Pondichéry on 14th August 2012, at 4.30 pm, in the Library Hall.Title: "Tirumaḻicai Āḻvār".Summary: Tirumaḻicai Āḻvār is one of the earliest Āḻvārs, Tamil Vaiṣṇavite poets who lived between the 6th and the 10th century approximately. Traditionally considered to be the author of Tiruccantaviruttam and Nāṉmukan Tiruvantāti, he is one of the most enigmatic and charismatic poets, and yet, one of the least explored.
