The 21st  Classical Tamil Winter Seminar (CTWS , "Classical Tamil Winter Seminar" will take place at the Pondicherry Centre of the EFEO rom February 13 to 24, 2023, led by Eva Wilden of the University of Hamburg. The first week will be devoted primarily to chapter 17 of the Cilappatikāram, the Āycciyar Kuravai, a series of devotional songs addressed to Kṛṣṇa, which are the earliest evidence of his worship in South India. The second week will be devoted to didactic poetry, as the Paḻamoḻi, one of the most popular anthologies of Kīḻkkaṇakku, on wisdom, will be examined. The event will be live, and there will be no hybrid option.
