Jonas Buchholz (South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University, ECAF Member) has come to the EFEO Centre in Pondicherry from August 22nd to September 5th to work on his MA thesis on the topic "C. N. Annadurai and the Ramayana". This thesis will analyze the writings of C. N. Annadurai, founder of the DMK party and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, on the Ramayana and put them into the context both of the history of the Dravidian Movement and the tradition of discourses on the Ramayana.
