On the occasion of the millennium celebrations of the city of Hanoi, the EFEO is pleased to announce the completion, in cooperation with the Vietnamese Social Sciences Academy (VASS), of the new archaeological museum on the site of the Imperial Citadel. The museum was inaugurated on October 2, 2010, in the presence of Jean-François Girault, French Ambassador to Vietnam, Franciscus Verellen, Director of the EFEO, and VASS President Do Hoai Nam.
