The call for applications for the international summer seminar "From Qing dynasty to Republican China: continuities and ruptures" to be held in Saint-Pierre d'Oléron from 8 to 14 September 2024, aimed at doctoral and post-doctoral students in Chinese studies, is now open.

The EFEO has learned with great sorrow of the passing of His Majesty King Father Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia on 15 October 2012 in Peking. The School has lost the oldest of its Honorary Members and wishes to convey its deepest sympathy to Her Majesty the Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk and His Majesty King Preah Bronomneath Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia.
On October 11, opening of the exhibition Vivre et mourir à Hanoi en 1972 [Living and dying in Hanoi in 1972] mounted by Olivier Tessier, head of
the EFEO Center in Hanoi, with the help of Huyen Mermet and Dang Duc
Tuê, at the request of the French Embassy to Vietnam, to commemorate the
