Tani Sebro is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Hawai์i at Manoa. Currently based in Chiang Mai, Ms. Sebro is conducting ethnographic and ethnochoreological research amongst Tai peoples in Northern Thailand, as well as archival research at the École Française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) center's library in Chiang Mai. She has received the 2015 Fieldwork Fellowship to conduct dissertation research on the politics of dance and nationalism amongst Tai migrants from the Shan State in Burma.
