ในระหว่างวันที่ 6 ถึง 8 ธันวาคม 2557 ที่จะถึงนี้ อาจารย์ Christophe Pottier จะไปร่วมงานประชุมประจำปี COSTIKs (conference on special topics in khmer studies) ในหัวข้อ "People, Pots and Places: New Research on Ceramics in Cambodia" (ผู้คน ภาชนะดินเผา และสถานที่ - งานวิจัยใหม่เกี่ยวกับภาชนะดินเผาในประเทศกัมพูชา) ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นที่เมืองเสียมเรียบ ประเทศกัมพูชา
ในการนี้ อาจารย์จะให้คำอภิปรายร่วมกับคุณ Armand Desbat จากสำนักวิจัย CNRS ในหัวข้อ "A Jayavarman VII assemblage at Prasat Ta Muong" (การปะติดปะต่อเรื่องราวของพระเจ้าชัยวรมันที่ 7 จากเศษภาชนะดินเผาที่ ปราสาทท่าม่วง อโรคยาศาลาที่พระนครธม)
Abstract: A pilot excavation campaign has been conducted at Prasat Ta Muong, the Western hospital of Angkor Thom, by the Angkor Medevial Hospital project directed by R. Chhem and C. Pottier in 2006. The foundation of that hospital by the King Jayavarman VII is precisely known: 1181, the same year that his coronation. But its abandonment remains unclear, in particular in its relation to the demise of Angkor Thom. Studied under the direction of A. Desbat, the ceramic artifacts collected at Prasat Ta Muong offers a unique opportunity to study what does a J7 ceramic assemblage looks like. They also suggest some new hypothesis for the demise of this royal foundation.
