On February 15th, 2022, the EFEO Bangkok centre had a meeting with Dr. Komatra Chuengsatiansup (นายแพทย์โกมาตร จึงเสถียรทรัพย์), director of the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre. On this occasion, Dr. Grégory Kourilsky, the new head of the EFEO office in Bangkok, affirmed his wish to maintain the ongoing collaborations between the two institutions and presented a first proposal on the new four-year project (2023 - 2026), i.e. the ongoing collaborations on epigraphy and studies of ancient manuscript in Thailand (database, digitization, etc.) and the projects to be developed together, e.g. studies on ancient law, studies on the literatures in Pali and studies on the material culture of ethnic groups in Thailand.
