“Work in Progress” – Franco-Thai Workshop of the EFEO Bangkok
25 FEBRUARY 19
"Work in Progress" - An EFEO Bangkok Franco-Thai research workshop on archaeology, epigraphy and prehistory
EFEO at Bangkok, in cooperation with our host partner, the Sirindhorn Centre, would like to invite you to a Franco-Thai workshop on recent and ongoing work in archaeology, epigraphy, prehistory and associated research in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. The title of the workshop is "Work in Progress" emphasizing the need to introduce and share results and research questions in real time outside of the usual process of diffusion by peer-reviewed publications. EFEO scholars based within the region as well as French researchers from other scientific organisations are often pursuing research on a long-term basis which makes intermediate sharing and discussion of results even more relevant. The workshop takes therefore a particular aim at pursuing existing and promoting new relations with Thai specialists who take an interest in the wider region beyond Thailand's borders.
Call for papers
This is a personal invitation to propose a paper or show your interest in attending the workshop as a participant. A paper proposal before December 5 would be greatly appreciated. Paper proposals should include a title and a brief abstract besides your name and institutional affiliation.
Participants who are interested in participating actively at the workshop as members of the audience should kindly reply by December 15 at the following email address s.thoesomboon@gmail.com or by phone contact at 092-252-1995 (Khun Sai).
