On 18 August 2016, Dr. Peter Skilling of the École française d'Extrême-Orient will give an inaugural lecture on "Palm-leaf manuscripts:precious repository of the Buddha's teachings" at the International conference on the "Buddhist Manuscripts in Thailand: Their Importance in Buddhist Studies" at the auditorium of Buddhamandala Hall. The conference will be presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand.
