From August 5 to 19, Peter Skilling will visit Sri Lanka to attend the colloquium "Maritime Trade and Cultural Exchanges in the Indian Ocean" convened at Sigiriya, August 9-11, by the Department of Archaeology (Sri Lanka), CNRS-ENS (Paris), and the Center for Buddhist Studies (UC Berkeley, USA). During his stay he will travel to Anuradhapura, Kandy, and other places visit universities, museums, and archaeological and historical sites.
