The Mueang Mo monastery (that we visited on the 16 December for its manuscripts collection, see the article before) also contains a remarkable collection of Buddha images in gilded and lacquered wood. Eight of them bear inscriptions in tham characters. These images belong stylistically to the school of Lanna with strong local features but their quality and originality is indisputable. We hope that they could be presented with the translation of their inscriptions in a coming publication.
