Daoism: Religion, History and Society

Daoism: Religion, History and Society (Daoism RHS) is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to the publication of original research articles exploring Daoism in its social and historical contexts from the pre-modern to the contemporary period. The journal encourages innovative research based on new documents and/or fieldwork. Projects of guest-edited issues, book review are also welcome. Resolutely bilingual English-Chinese, each issue will have articles in both languages, with an abstract in the other language. Contributions may be submitted all year round and should follow the format (including body text, notes and references) of Daoism RHS. Manuscripts simultaneously submitted to other publications will not be accepted.

In Memoriam Pierre André Lablaude

Pierre André Lablaude (1947-2018)

Nous avons la tristesse d'annoncer le décès de Pierre André Lablaude, survenu ce jeudi 26 juillet à Versailles. Architecte en chef et Inspecteur général des Monuments historiques, chargé de la restauration de sites aussi prestigieux que le Mont Saint-Michel et les jardins de Versailles, Pierre André Lablaude aura été durant plus de 25 ans un compagnon de route de notre École. En tant qu'expert auprès du Comité International de Coordination à Angkor, et membre puis président du Conseil scientifique de notre institution de 2011 à 2017, il a fait bénéficier de ses conseils les projets de l’EFEO à Angkor, et les a défendus, avec l’autorité et l’objectivité qui étaient les siennes. La finesse de son intelligence, l’étendue de son érudition, la solidité de ses compétences et la justesse de ces jugements en faisaient une figure unanimement respectée. Il laisse le souvenir d’une personnalité hors du commun, et d’un homme d’une remarquable élégance.

Le 1er août 2018, Sa Majesté le roi Norodom Sihamoni, Roi du Cambodge, a conféré à titre posthume à Pierre André Lablaude la dignité de Grand'Croix de l’Ordre Royal du Sahamétrei.
