Ms Shi Leqi 史樂其, MA Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), is visiting the EFEO Hong Kong Centre in January 2018 to carry out research on the architectural history of several mosques dated between the Song to the Ming periods on the south-eastern coast of China, including those of the earliest Muslim merchant communities in Guangzhou and Quanzhou. Prior to carrying our field work on architectural sites and funerary inscriptions in these cities and Hangzhou, her stay in Hong Kong will be devoted to documentary research.
