Bastion of the Long Wall of Kỳ Anh
Survey of a new Long Wall site, Hà Tĩnh province
09 APRIL 12
The archaeological survey of the Long Wall of Kỳ Anh, uncovered in 2010, was organised during the week of 9 April by the Institute of Archaeology and the local authorities (Kỳ Anh district, Hà Tĩnh province). On a mountain of the Hoành Sơn chain, the team identified vestiges of a stone rampart (6 m high, 500 m long), as well as the remains of an earth wall down in the valley. An excavation is planned for July 2012.
