First Research Workshop of the project CRISEA (Horizon 2020)

Sixty European and Southeast Asian scholars met at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in Hanoi from 28 to 30 March for the first of the three research workshops of the project CRISEA (Competing Regional Integrations in Southeast Asia, see https://www.efeo.fr/base.php?code=925). Over a period of two days (29-30 March) five working groups corresponding to the project’s five main themes – the Environment, the Economy, the State, Identity and the Region – developed their research strategy and identified the objectives and methodologies of the case studies. On 28 March, a meeting of the project’s Steering Committee was held at the EFEO centre.
