ในวันเสารที่ 17 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2557 เวลาบ่าย 2 โมง Peter Skilling จะเข้าร่วมและให้คำบรรยายเรื่อง « Inscribing Buddhism: Art and Epigraphy in Early Southeast Asia » (จารึกพุทธศาสนา: ศิลปะและงานจารึกในเอเชียอาคเนย์สมัยต้น) ที่งานประชุมระหว่างชาติประจำปี Internatioinal Symposium : New Researches in Hindu-Buddhist Sculpture of Early Southeast Asia ณ หอประชุม Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium ของพิพิธภัณฑ์ Metropolitan Museum of Art, เมืองนิวยอร์ก

งานประชุมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเนื่องในงานนิทรรศการ « Lost Kingdoms: Hindu-Buddhist Sculpture of Early Southeast Asia, 5th to 8th Century » (จัดแสดงตั้งแต่วันที่ 14 เมษายน ไปจนถึงวันที่ 27 กรกฎาคม) และได้รับการสนับสนุนจากมูลนิธิ James H. W. Thompson
