The Ninth Classical Tamil Summer Seminar is organised by the Centre of the École française d'Extrême-Orient in Pondicherry from 15-26 August.
The EFEO Centre approaches Tamil sources through sessions of reading and discussion of selected texts and commentaries with Indian scholars: R. Varadadesikan (Vaishnava literature), G. Vijayavenugopalas (epigraphy) and T.Rajeswarias (manuscripts). The seminar provides a rare forum for intensive exchange and collaboration between Western and Indian Tamil scholars.
