Antonino Forte

Licencié de l'Istituto Universitario Orientale de Naples en Langues et civilisations orientales, section Extrême-Orient (l964) et diplômé de la Kyôto University, Research Institute for Humanistic Studies - Jinbun Kagaku Kenkyusho, Antonino Forte est membre scientifique de l'EFEO à Kyôto de novembre l976 à octobre l985.

Son domaine de recherche touche l'Asie Orientale du IIe au Xe siècle avec comme objectif de comprendre les idées et leurs fonctions dans la société et l'État à travers la recherche historique. Il coopère pour cela avec de nombreuses institutions de recherches comme l'ISIAO de Rome ou le Collège de France.

Directeur de la Scuola di Studi sull'Asia Orientale, à Kyôto, Antonino Forte est, depuis novembre 1981, titulaire de la chaire de Religions et Philosophies de l'Asie Orientale de l'Istituto Universitario Orientale (IUO) de Naples.
